About

Kae

Kae Tran is a Toronto-based multidisciplinary creative, disability advocate, and accessibility consultant specializing in art direction, branding, and inclusive design. Her advocacy began with growing up alongside a progressive disability and learning early on how to navigate systems that were never designed for disabled bodies. What started as self-advocacy became a lifelong commitment to disability justice, accessibility, and authentic representation.

Drawing on her lived experience as a disabled woman of colour and her background as an OCAD University graduate, Kae creates empowering, human-centred work at the intersection of culture, architecture, and assistive technology. She works with brands, organizations, and institutions to improve accessibility, strengthen disability representation, and build more equitable systems.

Living with Limb-Girdle Muscular Dystrophy, she shares her journey through creative projects, writing, modelling, and speaking engagements with organizations such as Muscular Dystrophy Canada and the University of Toronto Scarborough. Featured in NOW Magazine, Yahoo Style Canada, and The Kit, she continues to lead conversations on disability, design, and inclusion in Canada and beyond.
